Please do not arrive early to public viewing nights! CAS has club meetings until from 7:30 to 8 PM on most Friday evenings, and our volunteers will not be ready to set up for observing until 8 PM.
​
We are generally open every Friday night throughout the semester, regardless of weather. On cloudy nights, we give tours of the building and its historic astronomical equipment. During the summer break we may close due to short staff or inclement weather.
​
Due to longer daylight in the spring and summer, observing often does not begin until after 9 PM.

Fuertes Observatory is located on the North Campus of Cornell University. Parking is available in the lot in front of Barbara McClintock Hall, across the street from the observatory.
